Andragogy. How Do Adults Learn?

Adult learners are a very diverse group but experience shows that they are autonomous and self-directed. Then, the teacher should just play a "facilitator" role.
ANDRAGOGY, that is, the study of adults' learning stragegies (developed by Malcolm Knowles), is based on the following premisses:

  • Adults need to know why.
  • Learning based on experience.
  • They should be involved in the learning process.
  • They need significant learning subjects.
  • Problem-solving learning orientation.
  • Personal motivation.

Further to this topic, I hope you enjoy the following SlideShare Presentation.
