Adult learners are a very diverse group but experience shows that they are autonomous and self-directed. Then, the teacher should just play a "facilitator" role.
ANDRAGOGY, that is, the study of adults' learning stragegies (developed by Malcolm Knowles), is based on the following premisses:
- Adults need to know why.
- Learning based on experience.
- They should be involved in the learning process.
- They need significant learning subjects.
- Problem-solving learning orientation.
- Personal motivation.
